  Diente als Fuhrmann in der Co. E & H, 3rd & Co. K, 17th Maine Infantry. Gefangen genommen bei den Schlachten in Chancellorsville und Wilderness, zweimal auf Bewährung entlassen. Starb nach der zweiten Entlassung im Patterson Park Hospital an Typhus. Heirat mit Mary Louise Norcross am 25. März 1860 in Jefferson, ME.
