Edward N. Sylvester
 Edward N. Sylvester, 74, of
 Warren, formerly of Rockland,
 died at a Rockland hospital on
 Tuesday after a long illness.
 He was a retired house painter.
 Born on November 12, 1894, at
 Rockport, he was the son of
 Leonard and Emma Collins
 Sylvester.
 He was a member of the
 Weymouth Grange at Thomaston.
 Mr. Sylvester is survived by
 two sons, Edward C. of Rockland
 and Austin N. of South
 Thomaston; seven daughters,
 Mrs. Eleanor Achorn of Owl’s
 Head, Mrs. Laura Davey of
 Newburg, New York, Mrs. Betty
 Duffy of Connecticut, Miss
 Blanche Sylvester of Florida,
 Mrs. Roberta Staples of Rockland,
 Mrs. Donna Elwell of Spruce
 Head and Mrs. Jerry Hutchins
 of Waldoboro; 20 grandchildren
 and 7 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held
 Friday at 2:00p.m. from the Burpee
 Funeral Home with Rev. Charles R.
 Monteith officiating. Interment
 will be at Achorn Cemetery.
