Linda Corinne (Fredette) Mains, 68, of Windham, Maine, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at her daughter's home in Middlebury, Conn., surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Mains was born on May 17, 1943, in Portland, Maine, a daughter of the late Albert O. Fredette and Eva (Martin) Fredette-Filion. She was a retired bookkeeper who worked for GMAC in Portland, Maine, and Down East Energy in Windham, Maine. Since her retirement, she loved spending her winters in Davenport, Fla., with her many friends at Citrus Ridge Park.
Besides her husband of Windham, Maine, she is survived by her daughter and her husband, and their two children of Middlebury; four stepchildren; and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church in Westbrook, Maine. Immediately following the service, a luncheon in the church hall will be held to celebrate her life. Service arrangements in Maine are under the care of Blais and Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, Maine. Local arrangements were handled by the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
