Born in Harrington, July 1, 1934, she was the daughter of Harry G. and Margaret L. Huntley Hartford. During the years of World War II, she lived with her family in South Portland where she attended local schools. They later moved to Warren, where she continued her education. On January 1, 1952, she married Philip M. Pease in Warren. Mrs. Pease enjoyed celebrating her 50th anniversary with her husband this past January. The first nine years of their marriage, the couple lived in Portland where Mrs. Pease worked as a Nurses Aid at Maine Medical Center. For the following 3 years, they lived in California where she was employed as an operator with the Pacific Telephone Company. From California the, Pease\' moved to West Rockport, where they resided 13 years before moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1980. While residing in Florida, Mrs. Pease completed training as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Returning to Maine 3 years later, they lived in St. George a brief time before building their home here, where they have lived the past 15 years. Mrs. Pease worked 17 years with ASK Home Health Care, primarily at their Cushing Homestead facility. Throughout their married life, Mrs. Pease has been an active participant in her husband\'s business, Phil Pease for Painting, as bookkeeper. Pre-deceased by two sons, Dana Mark in 1958, David in 2000 and a sister Sarah Butler in 1996, Mrs. Pease is survived by her husband of Union; her son Bruce K. and his wife Tiffany of Vancouver, Washington; her daughter Katrina Oakes and her husband Timothy of Appleton; a sister Mildred H. Grindle and her husband Kenneth Orne of Union; five grandchildren, Daniel, Steven, Jeffrey, Devon, Paige as well as several nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Warren. 169 I42646  Ambrose HOCH  1839    22 Apr 1924    Ambrose Hoch, a life-long resident of this place passed away Tuesday morning after a brief illness. Mr. Hoch was in his 86th year. Lincoln County News: April 24th, 1924. Although Ambrose Hoch made his home at Winslow's Mills he was well known in Waldoboro and the people here were sorry to hear of his death April 22. Mr. Hoch was a member of Charles Keizer Post, G.A.R. and will be greatly missed in Memorial Day as he was always present to take part in the parade and exercise. He held as excelant military record having served in the civil are from October 13, 1862 until July 26, 1865. He was assigned with Co. A 21st Maine Regiment to the army of Gen. Banks in Louisiana where he was wounded in the Seige of Port Hudson. After being six weeks in the hospital on account of his wound he was discharged with his regiment but immediately reenhsted with the First Sharp-hooters, transfered to 20th Me. where he remained until the close of the war. Mr. Hoch was eighty-four years of age and survived his wife by thirteen years. He leaves two sons, the last service were held Friday at the Winslow\'s Mills Chapel. Rev. O.G. Barnard officiating as clergyman. The Flag-draped casket was as a guard of honor six of his old comrades and several veterans of the World War. The services were impressive and fitting to honor one that had served his country so well. The burial was in the Rural Cemetery in Waldoboro. Lincoln County News: May 1st, 1924.

A native of Waldoboro he was born on Dec. 12, 1886 the son of Ambrose and Catherine Oliver Hoch. he had been a lifelong resident of Waldoboro and was a farmer by occupation. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Hoch was the oldest veteran of U. S. Army of World War 1 in this area. Besides his widow of Waldoboro, Mr. Hoch is survived by two sons, Elmer R. Hoch Jr., and Patrick L. Hoch, both of Waldoboro; two daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Martin of Rockville, Conn., and Mrs. Sarah C. Parker of Waldoboro; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday from the Hall Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Parlin officiating. Interment will be at the Rural Cemetery, Waldoboro. Elmer R. Hoch, 82, died Monday at his home in Waldoboro. he was born there Dec. 12, 1886, son of Ambrose and Catherine Oliver Hoch. he was a veteran of World War I and the oldest member of Barracks No. 1 of World War I. veterans. Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Thelma Cuthbertson Hoch, are two sons, Elmer and Patrick Hoch, both of Waldoboro; two daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Martin of Rockville, Conn., and Mrs. Sarah Parker of Waldoboro; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Parlin will officiate and interment will be in the Rural Cemetery in Waldoboro. Lincoln County News: May 1st, 1969.

Mr. Hoch was the son of Ambrose and Catherine Hoch and is survived by his wife, who was Lizzie Davis, and a son Floyd and brother Elmer. In his earlier years he was a member of progressive grange and served as its master. Also a member of sons of Veterans. Musically inclined he was also a member of Jefferson Band and possessed a fine singing voice. He was a mill worker but his later years were devoted to his farm, finding his pleasure in fishing and hunting. Mr. Hoch was a kind friend and good neighbor, liked and respected by all and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Lincoln County News: August 26th, 1943

Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his mother, Eva Yankowsky (Dumont), his father, Raymond C. Johnson; two brothers, Melvin J. and Dick J., and one sister, Odessa Valley. He is survived by his only daughter, Tammy Harvison (Johnson), who was also his caretaker; his three grandchildren, Brittany Weston, Kiara Alexander, and Jacob Harvison, who he loved so much; his stepfather, Oscar Y.; brothers, Michael Y. and Gerald J., sisters, Carol H., Linda Y., Elaine, Esther, May and June; and his ex-wife, Donna Greene who he remained friends with for years. Lloyd had a one in a million laugh that sounded like a chipmunk. His famous quote was \'strangers in the night!\' He will be greatly missed, as he was one in a million. We love you. Lloyd D. She wished to thank all who visited, sent her cards, flowers and well wishes. Ruth was born June 24, 1939 in Damariscotta, Maine to Fred and Grace Keene. She was the third of the five \"Keene Girls\" who all grew up in Bremen, Maine. She graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, Maine in 1958. Ruth worked briefly at Round Top Ice Cream in Damariscotta and then was employed at G.T.E. Sylvania for approximately 11 years. She later worked as a family service coordinator for the Waldoboro Head Start program and thoroughly enjoyed working with children. She retired from Pen Bay Medical Center as a Mental Health Worker in the PARC unit in 2004. Ruth fully enjoyed her retirement and pursued her love of her grandchildren, family, arts and crafts, home decorating, gardening, reading, writing and counted cross stitch with a passion. She was a talented artist/craftsperson and a remarkable writer who generously shared this gift with close family and friends. She always was a mother to her children but also to others outside the immediate family. She opened her heart and home to any in need. She was a genuinely loving soul who will be sorely missed by family and friends. Ruth is predeceased by a daughter Eleanor Jean Hoffses; her parents; sisters, Mary Glaude and Katherine Simmons; and by a granddaughter Elizabeth Hoffses. She is survived by her daughter Gina Hoffses and partner Elizabeth Foley of Waldoboro; sons Jerome Hoffses, Jr. of Waldoboro, and Scott Hoffses and partner Lincoln Millett of Windham; sisters Brenda Simmons of Waldoboro and Susan Hammond of Wiscasset; grandchildren Ashley Nelson and husband Mike of Rockland, Travis Hoffses of Waldoboro, Autumn Hoffses of St. George, Haley Hoffses and Karl Hoffses both of Waldoboro A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Ruth\'s life. Ruth wished to thank the staff at Miles Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care, patience, and kindness. Leighton, 78, of Needham, died Oct. 4 in Deaconess Glover Hospital. He leaves his wife, Martha (Bailey) Leighton; two sons, including Richard T. Leighton of Upton; a brother; a grandchild. He graduated from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and attended the Navy Supply Corps School of Harvard University. He received his masters degree from Babson College in 1974. Mr. Leighton was a career Navy officer, serving in various capacities, including as assistant for contracts at the Bureau of Weapons in Waltham, an office that administered Navy and NASA contracts with Raytheon Co. for equipment that included the Sparrow III air-to-air missile, the Polaris missile guidance system, and the Apollo computer. He retired from the Navy in 1964 as Lieutenant Commander. After retiring from the military, he worked at GTE Sylvania in Needham and later in Westboro. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Congregational Church of Needham, 1154 Great Plain Ave., Needham. There are no calling hours.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregational Church of Needham, 1154 Great Plain Ave., Needham, MA 02192 or to Needham Community Council, 51 Lincoln St., Needham, MA 02492. Sie verstarb am 2. März 2025. Beverlee wurde am 29. Oktober 1956 im Mercy Hospital in Portland als Tochter von George G. Luce und Joan Leslie Graffam geboren. Beverlee wuchs in Waldoboro auf und besuchte die örtlichen Schulen, wo sie ihren Abschluss an der Medomak Valley High School machte. Sie hatte den Wunsch, Menschen zu helfen und war Rettungssanitäterin beim Waldoboro Ambulance Service. Beverlee zog 2001 nach Lakeland, FL, wo sie es genoss, näher bei ihrem ältesten Sohn zu sein und am Florida Southern College zu arbeiten. Später zog sie zurück nach Maine, um näher bei ihrem jüngsten Sohn zu sein, und genoss es, als Hausmeisterin an den örtlichen Schulen zu arbeiten. Der Höhepunkt ihres Lebens war es, Oma zu sein. Während ihres Aufenthalts in Maine konnte sie bei der Erziehung ihres jüngsten Enkelkindes helfen. Sie war eine liebevolle Mutter, die ihr Leben dem Erfolg und der Verbesserung ihrer Kinder und Enkelkinder widmete. In ihrer Kindheit entwickelte Beverlee eine Liebe zu Pferden und zum Reiten, die sie mit ihrem Pferd \"Spitfire\" bis ins Erwachsenenalter mitnahm. Sie liebte es auch, im Garten zu arbeiten und Vögel zu beobachten. Beverlee ist vorverstorben von ihrem früheren Ehemann, Ray B. Genthner Sr.; Eltern; Bruder George B. Luce; die Schwestern Eleanor Joan Luce und Barbara Ellen Luce; und Neffe, Philip S. Cohen. Beverlee hinterlässt ihre beiden liebevollen Söhne, Ray Genthner Jr. (und Christy Genthner) aus Asheville, NC und ihre beiden Kinder, Chase und Paige Genthner; und Travis Genthner aus Polen, ME und seine Tochter Josephine Genthner; Schwester Harriet (Bobbie) R.
